Studies show that the ability to develop strong mentor relationships with an adult dramatically increases a student’s chance of academic success. In fact, more than 80% of successful college students credit the support of a powerful mentor.

At Billings, teachers create daily opportunities for students to excel.  They challenge students to be critical thinkers and powerful self-advocates.  When students graduate from Billings, they know how to work effectively with a broad range of teaching styles and carry the self-confidence to pursue mentor relationships throughout their lives.

The Billings faculty have been recognized locally and nationally for their excellence in teaching adolescents. Recent awards include:

  • 4 Consecutive Fulbright Memorial Fund Fellowships to Japan
  • National finalist for the Conservation Fund Environmental Education Award
  • Northwest Art Teacher of the Year
  • National Middle School Association "Teams That Make a Difference" Grand Prize Winner
