An Open Invitation

For prospective students and parents, the best first step is to visit the school and attend an Open House or Drop-In Event.  Both events allow families to meet our Head of School and talk with current students, parents, faculty and recent alumni.

Open Houses: What to Expect

When arriving at Billings you will begin by registering at the West Hall, which on Maple Leaf Place, next to the Main Building, 7217 Woodlawn Avenue NE, Seattle WA 98115. (Directions)

Applicant students will be introduced to faculty while other guests hear a presentation by our Head of School, Ted Kalmus, about the Billings mission, educational philosophy, and the transition to middle school.

Following this presentation, students and families will have an opportunity to select from sessions held across our campus that focus on:

  • academic curriculum
  • student activities
  • the impact of a Billings education

All Open House guests are invited to explore any open classrooms, talk with teaching faculty and mingle with other community members.

Drop-In Events: What to Expect

Saturday Drop-In Events are less structured than our formal Open Houses. They are designed for families who are already familiar with Billings or who would like a more casual visit opportunity.

Faculty, students and other school community members will be available to answer questions and provide detail descriptions of our program. This is also a great time to tour the campus during the daytime and pick up general school information.
