The 8th grade, Integrated Human Studies students collect and analyze data regarding phosphates in the environment. Their efforts have resulted in changes in Seattle city policy, grants for Billings and other organizations to do water and air policy, and strong concern for our environment both locally and internationally.
Sixth grade Billings students receive core training in visual and performing arts with classes in Drama, Visual Arts, Movement and Vocals. In 7th and 8th grades the students then choose arts electives which allow them to develop within a particular discipline or pursue a broader arts education. Arts classes at Billings are taught by professional, working artists.
